Our beautiful campus is conveniently located in Syosset, New York and features a 350-seat, fully equipped theater, a state-of-the-art digital media production lab, bright and inviting dance and art studios, and specialized music and art classrooms. Our dedicated faculty is made up of experienced professionals in their fields who bring real-life experiences into their classrooms and studio sessions.
With more than 98% of our students going on to colleges and conservatories and earning millions of dollars in scholarships each year, college and post-secondary planning and preparation is a top priority. Our students have gone on to study at such institutions as The Juilliard School, Yale University, Syracuse University, Parsons School of Design, Cooper Union, and New York University/Tisch School of the Arts.
As a collective, The Long Island High School for the Arts PTSA moves forward with vigor to project our mission to advocate for any high school student on Long Island who is talented in the arts and wishes to pursue a career on that path. Together we become empowered by handing potential students and their families the tools necessary to apply to our free, public high school program. Building a secure network inside and outside of our community walls encourages philanthropy and enhances relationships with individuals with the belief system that THE ARTS MATTER. Our goal is to transform every applicant's dream into a reality. With the community's support, we will continuously work to raise enrollment and awareness, and a steady communication flow among parents, the school, the community, and Nassau BOCES. In turn, we need the active participation of all members of our LIHSA family and the local community, to sustain our growing programs.
